We are seeking a charismatic and professional Full-Time Restaurant Host/Administrator to join our team. This role combines front-of-house responsibilities with administrative duties to ensure seamless guest experiences and efficient operational support.
Role Overview
The Restaurant Host/Administrator is the first point of contact for guests and plays a pivotal role in ensuring a warm and professional welcome. In addition to managing reservations, seating arrangements, and guest interactions, the role includes administrative tasks such as group booking follow-ups, issuing function sheets, and maintaining the restaurant's online presence by responding to reviews.
This individual will liaise closely with the service and kitchen teams and provide operational and administrative support to ensure smooth daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Relations
- Greet all guests warmly upon arrival, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued.
- Manage reservations and walk-ins using the restaurant's booking system, optimizing table turnover and guest satisfaction.
- Communicate with guests regarding special requests, dietary restrictions, or occasions to provide personalized service.
- Provide accurate wait times and keep guests informed during busy periods.
Seating Management
- Coordinate seating arrangements to maximize efficiency and maintain a smooth flow of service.
- Work closely with the service team to ensure tables are set and ready for guests in a timely manner.
- Monitor the dining area to ensure guests are comfortable and attended to.
Administrative Duties
- Group Booking Management: Follow up on past and upcoming group bookings, ensuring all details are confirmed and recorded.
- Function Sheets: Prepare and issue detailed function sheets to relevant teams for special events or group bookings.
- Online Presence: Respond professionally to online reviews, maintaining the restaurant’s reputation and addressing guest feedback.
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries or reservation requests professionally.
- Maintain and update the reservations system with accurate guest information and preferences.
- Prepare seating plans for each service and communicate these to the team.
- Handle any guest complaints or issues with discretion and escalate to management when necessary.
Team Collaboration
- Act as a liaison between the front-of-house and kitchen teams to ensure smooth communication.
- Assist with light administrative tasks as required by the management team.

- Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using reservation systems, online platforms, and digital tools.
- Customer-Focused: Passionate about delivering outstanding guest experiences.
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience as a host, receptionist, or in a similar customer-facing role in hospitality.
- Familiarity with reservation systems (e.g., OpenTable) and online review platforms is an advantage.
- Strong administrative skills, including proficiency in MS Office or Google Workspace.
- Experience handling group bookings and event coordination is desirable.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Working Hours
- Full-Time: 40 hours per week.
- Wednesday to Sunday availability is essential, aligning with restaurant operations.
