Host/Hostess

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Host to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and a pleasant dining experience. This role requires excellent communication skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to manage guest services efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
• Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimise guest flow.
• Answer phone calls with proper phone etiquette, providing information about the restaurant and taking reservations.
• Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the front-of-house area.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen and wait staff to ensure smooth service.
• Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Help with any additional tasks as required to enhance the guest experience.

Skills

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with guests and staff.
• Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel environment is preferred but not essential.
• Excellent phone etiquette to handle inquiries professionally.
• A genuine passion for hospitality and providing outstanding guest services.
• Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £14.00-£16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
