The Role :

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Hotel Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our 4-star hotel. This is a senior leadership role with full responsibility for operational performance, guest experience, financial control, and team development.

The Hotel:
Ideally located in the leafy suburb of Castletroy, just minutes from Limerick city and adjacent to the University of Limerick, our hotel offers a peaceful setting with easy access to the M7 motorway, making us a great base to explore the city and beyond.

Reporting directly to the Hotel General Manager, the Hotel Manager will play a key role in ensuring the hotel is a cornerstone of the local community while consistently delivering exceptional service, strong commercial results, and compliance with all statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Experience & Service Excellence

• Lead a culture where guest expectations are consistently met and exceeded
• Monitor, manage, and respond to all customer feedback and guest experiences
• Act as the public face of the hotel, representing the business professionally at all times

Operations & Leadership

• Oversee all hotel departments, ensuring smooth daily operations and effective forward planning
• Lead, motivate, and develop the management team and Heads of Department
• Drive service standards across all areas, with particular emphasis on banqueting and weddings
• Carry out Duty Management shifts as required

Financial & Commercial Performance

• Control labour costs in line with forecast and budgeted targets
• Maintain strong financial housekeeping, including:
• F&B margins
• Correct billing procedures
• Cash handling and anomaly monitoring
• Trade and ledger debtor management
• Develop, implement, and review the Hotel Business Plan
• Drive sales performance across rooms, food & beverage, leisure, corporate, conferences, and weddings

Compliance, Health & Safety

• Ensure full compliance with:
• HACCP and food hygiene legislation
• Health & Safety and Fire Safety regulations
• Employment and licensing laws
• Ensure all incidents, accidents, and reports are documented correctly
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, safety, and hotel presentation at all times

Staffing & Standards

• Ensure appropriate staffing levels within budget
• Implement company standards relating to:
• Service excellence
• Customer care
• Hotel presentation
• Supplier management

The Ideal Candidate

• Proven experience as a Hotel Manager or Senior Operations Manager within a 4-star (or similar) hotel
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and drive high performance
• Excellent commercial and financial acumen
• Extensive experience in banqueting, weddings, and events
• Strong knowledge of hotel compliance, health & safety, and employment legislation
• Highly organised, adaptable, and solution-focused
• A visible, hands-on leader with exceptional communication skills
