House person Evenings/Day-time / Housekeeper

Four Points by Sheraton & TownePlace Suites by Marriott Sherwood Park – Sherwood Park, AB

Responsibilities:

• Deliver and pick-up guest request items when assigned;
• Maintain cleanliness of the stairwells. ;
• Responding to guest requests and inquiries;
• Assists with trash removal;
• Perform all housekeeping duties;
• Conducting light maintenance;
• Maintain the cleanliness of the corridors;
• Cleaning assigned public and housekeeping areas.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 1 year previous cleaning and/or hotel experience required.
• Must have the ability to communicate in English.
• Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
• Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
• Can communicate well with guests.
• Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player.
• Knowledge of chemical cleaning agents and operation of various cleaning equipment.
• Ability to extend arms, scrub, bend, stoop, and stand and walk public areas for extended periods of time.
• Ability to push and/or pull equipment weighing up to 100 lbs.
• Ability to understand and follow directions, and perform job functions under limited supervision.
• Must be able to work varied shift work, including weekends and holidays.AM and PM shifts .

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00-$17.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Sherwood Park, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

• Cleaning: 1 year (preferred)
