Job description

The hours we require you to work will be 3pm - 7pm Monday to Friday

The role of Housekeeping Assistant involves;

· To clean and maintain all areas of the building

· To empty rubbish bins ensuring they are kept clean

· To take rubbish to the bin compound and leave in the skips provided

· To vacuum all carpeted floors

· To spot clean carpets as required

· To mop all vinyl covered floors, spot clean any soiled areas

· To buff and clean Reception floor area

· To damp dust desks and furniture

· To dust computers, phones and any electrical equipment

· To wipe skirting boards, doors and door frames

· To check & wash all childrens plastic toys

· To cobweb ceilings, walls and tops of high cupboards

· To clean inside of windows and sills

· To clean glass entrance doors

· To clean and polish mirrors and glass partitions

· To wipe down all surfaces and cupboard fronts in clinical rooms

· To wash and disinfect all sinks and surrounds

· To ensure sufficient stocks of paper towels anti-bacterial soap are present at all hand wash sinks

· To wash and disinfect all toilets and sanitary disposal units and re-stock toilet rolls

· To clean kitchen and clear away any dirty cups, etc.

· To ensure all cleaning chemicals and equipment are stored correctly

· Ensuring that only approved cleaning substances are used within the Practice

· To use chemicals in accordance with the COSHH data sheets

· To fill in daily/weekly/monthly cleaning schedules

· Maintain supplies of cleaning materials

· Turn off lights, set alarm and lock surgery when leaving

· Reporting potential risks-Infection Prevention & Control/Health & Safety to Supervisor/Manager

· Extra Duties as and when required

· Carpet cleaning

· Check and wash any curtains as per schedule

· Blind cleaning

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to £11.44 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
