Join Wattie’s Kraft Heinz at our Tomoana manufacturing site as an operational HR Advisor and help shape the future. With a new SLT this is an opportunity to make a real difference in the way HR operations are run on-site.

As an HR Advisor at Tomoana Site, you’ll play a vital role in providing frontline HR support to our employees. Working closely with team leaders, employees, and managers, you'll ensure the smooth delivery of day-to-day people operations while driving best practices in employee engagement, compliance, and performance.

Key position responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Advise on employment relations matters and assist with investigations

  • Coordinate training and development initiatives

  • Monitor HR compliance and ensure documentation is up to date

  • Drive continuous improvement in HR processes and employee experience

  • Support site engagement initiatives and promote a positive workplace culture

  • Support HRBP with routines, employee engagement surveys, and COE initiatives.

  • Collaborate on HR employment matters, promote performance feedback culture, and support performance appraisals and leadership coaching.

  • Provide proactive HR support to leaders and staff on site

  • Support internal recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning

About you:

  • Currently working as an HR advisor preferably in a manufacturing or industries similar to FMCG.

  • Experience in highly unionised organisations will be highly regarded

  • Experience in an organization with blue- and white-collar environments is a must to be successful in this role

  • Strong knowledge of New Zealand employment laws and regulations

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Undergraduate degree in Human Resources or related field

  • Proficient in HR software (Workday desirable) and Microsoft Office Suite

  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and strong problem-solving skills
