Job Mission:
  • The mission of this position is to provide required human resources insights and consultancies to contribute in realizing CHANEL KOREA’s Fashion & WFJ business and people objectives.
  • This role is responsible for holistically managing Fashion & WFJ retail frontline organization and people through aligning HR strategies, policies, guidelines to Fashion & WFJ retail’s business goals.
  • This role is in charge of, managing Fashion & WFJ retail frontline talent recruitment via active collaboration with RPO, retail talent development including retail talent review and succession planning, retail talent management including performance management and annual performance appraisal cycle review, employees’ relationship management including grievance handling via active collaboration with in-house ER team and Legal team, retail headcount / FTE management, retail people cost analysis and control via quarterly budget cycle review.
  • This role also is responsible in providing necessary support to Head of HRBP in retail related projects’ ideation, initiation, building project proposal and roll-out execution.
  • This role is expected to build and maintain solid working relationships with key retail stakeholders, including but not limited to, Heads of BTQ, Deputy Heads of BTQ, retail key opinion leaders, retail key identified talents. Through active engagement with retail community, this role will generate insights and retail specific employees’ relations and culture strategies which are to be shared to P&O ER, retail leadership and other relevant functions.
Key Responsibilities:
RETAIL TALENT ACQUISITION, MANAGEMENT AND DEVELOPMENT
  • Responsible for capturing and fulfilling hiring needs mainly from retail. Align, manage and execute retail talent sourcing and recruitment through seamless collaboration with RPO (Recruitment Process Outsourcing).
  • Manage monthly/quarterly/annual retail frontline headcounts / FTE / Productivity to follow guideline and business directions.
  • Provide insights and consultancies through analyzing retail talent landscape’ challenges and opportunities
  • Provide strategies in accelerated talents development in FWFJ retail community including retail leadership succession and next-leadership identification including talent review
  • Provide insights in retail learning interventions’ needs and collaborate with retail L&D / P&O People Experience team in executing training interventions
  • Lead FWFJ frontline’s annual compensation review / promotions and people move proposal through active collaboration with Heads of Retail and retail management
EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT & CHANGE MANAGEMENT
  • Review retail employee touch points and identify areas for improvement. Develop and implement plan to improve employee experience from onboarding to offboarding in collaboration with People experience.
  • Serve as the main contact point for retail employees, engaging them including in-boutique meeting, visits, and other touchpoints to ensure their needs and concerns are addressed promptly.
  • Lead communication and change management before and after changes that’d create impact to FWFJ retail employees
  • Organize and facilitate retail employee engagement activities when needed.
PERFORMANCE REVIEW AND MANAGEMENT
  • Lead performance management cycle for Fashion & WFJ retail including performance objectives setting, performance appraisals, underperformance management, etc.
  • Lead Fashion & WFJ frontline’s annual compensation review / promotions and people move proposal through active collaboration with Fashion & WFJ Heads of Retail and retail management
  • Support business teams in understanding and implementing Performance @ Chanel for their team.
  • Work with Retail leaders to assure clear and sufficient usage of performance indicators and fairly conduct annual compensation review for their teams to enhance performance-driven culture.
  • Collaborate with retail team to optimize performance management methods and processes for retail employees.
LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT
  • Identify training and development needs for retail employees and work with the People Experience and Fashion & WFJ L&D team to design and deliver relevant programs.
  • Support retail leadership development initiatives to build a strong pipeline of future leaders and specialists.
EMPLOYEE RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT
  • Build strong relationships with retail employees and management to understand their needs and challenges.
  • Provide guidance and support on employee relations issues, performance management, and conflict resolution.
  • Assess and identify retail frontline employees’ needs, grievance, and sentiments to provide insights in managing retail employee relations.
  • Manage grievance handling and disciplinary cases for retail employees through close collaboration with P&O ER team and Legal team.
  • Provide first-hand consultancy in managing employees’ performance improvement plan, probation assessment, and other labor regulatory related matters through close collaboration with P&O ER and Legal team.
OPERATION MANAGEMENT
  • Oversee time and attendance to ensure accurate tracking and compliance with company policies with HR Operation and Retail Operation teams.
  • Monitor sales incentive programs to motivate and reward retail employees for their performance with Rewards Manager and Retail Operation teams.
PROJECTS MANAGEMENT
  • Provide required support to FWFJ Head of HRBP for key FWFJ retail projects and initiatives in ideation, initiation, building proposal and implementation of projects.
PEOPLE COST MANAGEMENT / BUDGET
  • Manage quarterly people cost forecasting process for FWFJ frontline workforce including BTQ allocated headcounts for both retail networks (Local / TR) and mobile headcounts dedicated to retail organization
  • Provide FTE / Productivity forecast for each quarterly budget cycle with insights on managing the forecasted FTE through timely retail talents’ recruitment and turnover management
  • Execute end-to-end system submission of aligned and approved quarterly headcounts / projected FTE on-time in-full
Role Specifications:
Academic / Professional Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or above
Work Experience:
  • Preferably over 8 to 10 years of work experience in the field of Human Resources
  • Exposure in luxury retail industry and in-depth understanding in Fashion, WFJ would be a plus
  • Exposure in diversified culture and international / multi-national company environment would be a plus
  • Expertise in HR management, including but not limited to, recruitment, employee engagement, operation, labor relations management
