FBP (Fragrance & Beauty Product) business at CHANEL is leading the trend and innovations in the beauty market. On top of a concrete position in three categories, Make-up, Skincare, and Fragrance, in the market, it is transforming into an organization that realizes the ultimate client experience through both digital transformation and enhancement of offline channel.
Job Mission:
As HR Business Partner for FBP, you will provide consulting and advisory to strategically plan and proactively meet the people and talent needs to support business growth, as a source of competitive advantage for the business based on strong partnership with the division and understanding of the business, more specifically how retail business works.
Given the context of an everchanging landscape, you should anticipate future needs and manage change effectively. Source, nurture, and engage best talents and leaders to realize Chanel's priorities. As an effective HR Business Partner, you should effectively (re)present business needs to obtain stakeholders’ buy-in and collaborate with other HR and/or corporate functions to synthesize and integrate diverse perspectives in order to derive optimal solutions for the business. You will also collaborate with stakeholders and expertise to support the quality delivery of proposed HR solutions, to achieve maximum human resources performance for best business achievement.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Workforce Planning
  • Develop workforce plan by forecasting demands based on business priorities and seeking supply betterment from an integrated perspective for the market you are responsible for.
  • Partner with relevant stakeholders in the business division to ensure workforce plan to be embedded in business optimally and revamp where/when necessary.
  • Budget, oversee and update headcount plan and thereby productivity as the end-to-end owner throughout the year.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to drive business growth by keeping tabs on business performance/projection and reviewing workforce plan in line with them.
Organization Development & Capability Plan / Change Management
  • Explore the area of improvement in organizational design, support the execution of organizational development initiatives, and manage the change management process during organizational changes.
  • Assess the current and future capabilities which are compulsory to champion business strategies, identify development needs aligned with business ambition and develop/ execute action plans required.
Talent Acquisition & Management
  • Responsible for capturing and fulfilling hiring needs mainly from retail in your partnering area. Support and direct the teams’ hiring requests to the appropriate channels and ensure hiring quality and efficiency in partnership with talent acquisition team and / or other HR teams.
  • Establish success factors to retain retail talents as the foundation of future assets on top of seamless hiring plans by closely working with business stakeholders, talent acquisition team and RPO.
  • Diagnose talents’ states and plan succession pipeline with talent and business teams.
Performance Management
  • Support business teams in understanding and implementing Performance @ Chanel for their team.
  • Work with business leaders to assure clear and sufficient usage of performance indicators and fairly conduct annual compensation review for their teams to enhance performance-driven culture.
  • Collaborate with retail team to optimize performance management methods and processes for retail employees.
Employee Relations / Engagement / Interface
  • As the main point of contact for your responsible area, provide advice on local labor legislation and internal policy, as well as all HR-related matters including performance, career development, and team management.
  • Proactively engage with retail employees as the primary and accessible communication channel
  • Co-work with ER team on the handling of ER-related issues.
Operations
  • Provide support and/or ensure excellence across all operational touchpoints on employee life cycle.
  • Continually go through operational improvements and collaborate with relevant stakeholders for betterment.

Academic / Professional Experience
  • Bachelor’s in Human Resource, Business Administration or related field
  • Minimum 7 years of progressive work experience in HR in multinational organizations, experience in HR business partnering role in consumer goods, retail or luxury preferred
  • Experience of working in unionized environment
  • Experience of leading people-related initiatives in data & technology-obsessed organizations
  • Familiarity with Workday
  • Project management & orchestration experience
