Principal Objective

Reporting to the Chief of Staff - HR, the HR Business Partner supports strategic HR business partnering, delivering new HR initiatives and projects, as well as day-to-day HR activities, ensuring alignment with Chadwick's Group’s HR vision and objectives. The HR Business Partner plays a key role in partnering with line managers to drive performance & profitability of our teams. You will be commercially astute and capable of connecting business needs with HR interventions for maximum impact. You will lead on Performance Enablement, Talent & Succession Planning, Workforce Planning & Employee Relations for your area of the business.


Knowledge & Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an HR/ER advisor or business partner role.

  • Third-level qualification in Business, HR, or a related field; CIPD qualification desirable.

  • Comprehensive understanding of employee relations legislation and disciplinary procedures.

  • Proven experience in developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to build and maintain trusted relationships across the organisation.

  • Strategic mindset with the ability to think innovatively and ambitiously.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Advise, coach, and support branches and management teams through complex ER/IR processes, ensuring fair and consistent procedures.

  • Provide HR advice and support to managers, fostering a positive work environment and managing employee relations issues including conflict resolution and grievance handling.

  • Lead and manage specific HR projects, ensuring alignment with strategic goals, developing project plans, timelines, and budgets, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders for successful execution.

  • Update and maintain company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal requirements.

  • Drive the use of technology and AI to optimise HR operations, ensuring effective communication and change management strategies for project rollouts.

  • Actively participate in cross-functional HR projects, contributing to the overall HR strategy, and evaluating project outcomes to implement lessons learned for continuous improvement.

  • Support workforce planning and talent management initiatives, including succession planning for key roles.

  • Partner with managers to implement performance management frameworks, including goal-setting, feedback, and development planning.

  • Collaborate with Learning & Development to identify and address capability gaps, supporting leadership and frontline development.

  • Support the delivery of engagement, inclusion, and culture initiatives, ensuring alignment with business values.

  • Use HR metrics and analytics to provide insights and support data-driven decision making.

  • Support HR’s contribution to sustainability and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) projects.

Contract Type

  • 12 Month Fixed Term Contract
  • Full-time, 39-hour contract
  • Working week: Monday to Friday
