Description:
Key Responsibilities

To be successful, you will be self-motivated, focused on continuous improvement and committed to working collaboratively with your colleagues.

Key Responsibilities include:
Lead the development, implementation, and continual improvement of project-specific HSE systems, procedures, and initiatives.
Provide expert HSE guidance and support to site leadership, supervisors, and workforce.
Conduct assurance activities ensuring overall compliance to HSE systems, procedures, and initiatives.
Promote safety engagement and accountability at all levels through training, toolbox talks, and visible field leadership.
Monitor contractor HSE performance and ensure alignment with company and client expectations.
Establish and maintain disciplined practices towards onboarding activities for both MPK employees and subcontractors alike, by being proactive working with project staff, HR teams and commercial teams.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, codes of practice, and industry standards.
Support reporting obligations including internal KPIs, client reports, and regulator notifications
Support the site construction leadership team with environmental compliance by leading training and education programs

Skills and Experiences:
About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:
Minimum 7–10 years' experience in HSE leadership roles within oil & gas, mining, or heavy infrastructure projects.
Proven experience leading a multi disciplined HSE team, ensuring a boarder level of engagement across the operational team of the project and key stakeholders of the client.
Relevant tertiary qualifications in WHS, Environmental Management, or similar.
Strong knowledge of Queensland HSE legislation and regulatory frameworks.
Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
ICAM or equivalent incident investigation training (highly regarded).
