The Opportunity

As the HSEQ Advisor, you will be embedded within the site team, working closely with supervisors, engineers, and crews to support safe, compliant, and efficient project delivery. This is a practical, field-based role where your ability to communicate clearly, influence behaviours, and drive outcomes will be key.

You will play an active role in building a positive safety culture, ensuring systems are not only in place but are understood and followed on site.

Key Responsibilities

Provide consistent, day-to-day HSEQ support across all site activities
Actively engage with supervisors and crews in the field to promote safe work practices
Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments, ensuring hazards are identified and controlled
Lead and support incident investigations, including ICAM where applicable, and ensure learnings are communicated effectively
Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, company policies, and client requirements
Support the development, review, and implementation of Safe Systems of Work, SWMS, and procedures
Deliver and facilitate toolbox talks, pre-starts, and safety briefings
Provide clear, practical guidance to site teams to ensure understanding and compliance
Monitor site performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
Assist in developing and delivering training initiatives to improve workforce capability and awareness
Maintain accurate and timely reporting, documentation, and record

Skills and Experiences:
About You

Minimum 3 years’ HSEQ experience within heavy industry (construction, demolition, civil, or similar)
Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (WHS) and White Card
Strong understanding of WHS legislation, regulations, and compliance requirements
Proven experience in incident investigation (ICAM preferred)
Strong field presence with the ability to engage, influence, and build trust with site teams
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written – with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the business
Practical, solutions-focused approach with a strong attention to detail

Highly Regarded:
Experience within demolition, remediation, or large industrial environments
Cert IV Training & Assessing
Experience with DoneSafe or similar HSEQ systems
Auditing experience
Mental Health First Aid
