The Role

Don’t miss this exciting opportunity to join our team. We are seeking a motivated, flexible, and driven individual to fill the role of Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (HSEQ) Coordinator based at our Grafton branch.

WHS Responsibilities will include:
Take full responsibility for the site WHS activities and facilitate a safe workplace culture.
Develop, implement, and review SOPs, SWMSs and supporting systems, ensuring that all relevant legislative requirements and standards are met.
Advise and assist management with WHS matters and actively participate in problem solving and implementation of solutions.
Assist and lead incident investigations as required.
Assist Managers, Supervisors and HSRs to conduct WHS audits and inspections where required.
Participate in and contribute to WHS discussions in Pre-Start Meetings and Toolbox Talks.
Assist and advise on Return-to-Work programs as required.
Actively promote safe workplace through daily positive engagement with the workforce.
Quality Assurance Responsibilities will include:
Implementation, monitoring and review of the QMS / ISO 9001 certification
Working with external and internal auditors in relation to external and internal audits.
Conduct Internal audits and report on findings.
Ensure all QA documentation is completed and maintained in accordance with Civilmart QMS.
Facilitate and promote the sharing of quality improvements and initiatives.
Assist production with ITPs and relevant documentation.
Provide advice to Senior Management (Branch / State / National) on compliance.
Requirements:
Relevant qualifications in OHS/WHS is desirable
Previous WHS/QA experience in a manufacturing environment will be advantageous
Interpersonal and teamwork skills essential
Ability to work through change will be valued highly
Flexibility, willingness to adapt and to work to deadlines essential
Knowledge of WHS and / or Quality auditing and reporting is ideal but not essential.
