About the Role
Are you passionate about driving meaningful change in workplace health, safety, and wellbeing? Swinburne University of Technology is seeking a proactive and experienced professional to take the lead in coordinating and delivering a modernised suite of procedures that form the foundation of our Health, Safety and Wellbeing (HSW) Management System.

In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in shaping the safety culture at Swinburne by reviewing, updating, and developing procedures that support our commitment to a safe, innovative, and future-focused environment. Reporting to the Manager, Health and Safety, you will work closely with the Health, Safety and Wellbeing team and broader People & Culture stakeholders to ensure the successful rollout of the HSW Management System upgrade.

About You
To be suitable for this role you will need to have extensive experience and demonstrated ability in a medium to large sized organisation, in the key accountabilities below:
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills, for facilitating consultation and stakeholder meetings
  • Experience in understanding ISO Systems
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Experience working in higher education or a large, complex organisation.

Qualifications
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in OHS, Wellbeing, Systems, Ancillary Medical or similar
  • At least 5 years post graduate experience in a related field
