Human Resources / Staffing Coordinator – Skilled Nursing / Long-Term Care / Subacute (NJ)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Human Resources / Staffing Coordinator to support daily HR operations and staffing needs in a fast-paced skilled nursing, long-term care, and subacute environment. This role is critical to maintaining compliance, supporting employees, and ensuring appropriate staffing coverage across all units.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate daily staffing schedules for the nursing department to ensure adequate coverage.

  • Manage callouts, shift coverage, and last-minute staffing adjustments

  • Assist with recruitment efforts including posting positions, screening candidates, and scheduling interviews.

  • Facilitate onboarding processes (new hire paperwork, orientation coordination, I-9 compliance, background checks).

  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations.

  • Track attendance, tardiness, and assist with timekeeping/payroll support.

  • Serve as a point of contact for employee questions related to HR policies and procedures.

  • Support employee engagement initiatives and communication across departments.

  • Ensure adherence to facility policies, labor laws, and healthcare regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in Human Resources, staffing coordination, or scheduling (healthcare setting preferred).

  • Strong knowledge of staffing practices in SNF/LTC/subacute environments is a plus.

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in real time.

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in scheduling systems, HR software, and Microsoft Office.

  • Knowledge of labor laws and HR compliance standards preferred.
