Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Immigration Caseworker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing client files, preparing immigration applications, communicating with clients and government authorities, and ensuring timely and compliant submissions across various immigration streams.
Responsibilities
Application Preparation & Submission:
- Prepare and submit immigration applications across multiple categories:
- Express Entry and Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs)
- Labour Market Impact Assessments (LMIAs)
- Bridging Open Work Permits (BOWP)
- Spousal/Common-law Sponsorships (Inland & Outland)
- Parent and Grandparent Sponsorships (PGP)
- Dependent Child Sponsorships
- Super Visa Applications (including medicals and insurance compliance)
- Nanny & Home Support Worker Program (PR through work experience)
- Permanent Resident Card applications (initial and renewals)
- Canadian Citizenship applications (adults and minors)
- PR Confirmation Portal submissions and e-COPR follow-ups
- Work Permits, Study Permits, Visitor Visas, and TRPs
- Restoration of Status and extension applications (all categories)
- Temporary Resident Permits (TRPs)
Optional Files (if assigned):
- Refugee Protection Claims (IRB – RPD, RAD)
- Humanitarian & Compassionate (H&C) grounds applications
- PRRA (Pre-Removal Risk Assessment)
- Detention review hearing support
Case Management & Legal Support:
- Draft legal submissions, affidavits, cover letters, and supporting documentation
- Respond to procedural fairness letters and requests for additional documents
- Prepare clients for hearings (e.g., RPD, RAD, PRRA, Detention Review)
- Ensure all forms, applications, and letters are accurately completed and submitted within deadlines
- Maintain and update client files using professional case management software
- Track key dates and IRCC/IRB communications for follow-ups and renewals
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, and SharePoint.
- Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret data effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in French is a plus.
- Demonstrated customer service experience with a focus on client satisfaction.
- Previous administrative experience with an emphasis on records management and filing systems.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
- Leadership capabilities that foster teamwork and collaboration among diverse groups.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.15-$18.20 per hour
