We are looking for a competent and detail-oriented Income Tax & Tax Audit Executive having practical knowledge of Income-tax Return preparation, TDS compliance and Tax Audit assignments. The candidate will mainly handle back-office taxation work, including preparation of returns, computation of income, verification of supporting documents, reconciliation of financial data and preparation of audit reports.

The candidate should have hands-on experience in KDK/KITRET Software for Income-tax Returns and EasyOFFICE Software for TDS and Tax Audit work.

Key ResponsibilitiesIncome-tax Return Preparation

  • Preparation and filing of Income-tax Returns in ITR Forms 1 to 7 for:
  • Salaried individuals
  • Proprietorship concerns
  • Hindu Undivided Families
  • Partnership firms and LLPs
  • Companies
  • Trusts, societies and other entities
  • Preparation of computation of total income and tax liability.
  • Verification of income under various heads, including:
  • Salary income
  • Income from house property
  • Business and professional income
  • Capital gains
  • Income from other sources
  • Reconciliation of income with:
  • Form 26AS
  • Annual Information Statement
  • Taxpayer Information Summary
  • Form 16 and Form 16A
  • Books of account and financial statements
  • Preparation of advance-tax and self-assessment-tax calculations.
  • Preparation and filing of original, revised and belated Income-tax Returns.
  • Working knowledge of deductions, exemptions, brought-forward losses, depreciation and Minimum Alternate Tax provisions.
  • Handling return preparation through KITRET/KDK Income-tax Software.
  • Maintaining proper working papers and supporting documentation for each return.

TDS Compliance

  • Preparation and filing of quarterly TDS and TCS returns.
  • Working knowledge of Forms 24Q, 26Q, 27Q and 27EQ.
  • Preparation of TDS challans and verification of tax payments.
  • Reconciliation of TDS deductions with books of account and challans.
  • Preparation and downloading of Form 16 and Form 16A.
  • Correction and revision of TDS returns.
  • Handling TDS defaults, justification reports, short deductions, interest and late-filing fees.
  • Working knowledge of TDS provisions applicable to salary, contractors, professionals, rent, commission, interest, purchase of goods and payments to non-residents.
  • Hands-on experience in EasyOFFICE TDS Software.
  • Basic knowledge of the TRACES portal and Income-tax e-filing portal.

Tax Audit Work

  • Preparation of Tax Audit Reports under Section 44AB of the Income-tax Act.
  • Preparation and checking of Form 3CA, Form 3CB and Form 3CD.
  • Collection and verification of audit data from books of account and supporting records.
  • Preparation of clause-wise Tax Audit workings and schedules.
  • Verification of:
  • Fixed-assets register and depreciation
  • TDS compliance
  • GST turnover reconciliation
  • Loans and deposits
  • Related-party transactions
  • Payments covered under Section 40(a)(ia) and Section 40A(3)
  • Statutory dues
  • Stock valuation
  • Brought-forward losses and depreciation
  • MSME payments and outstanding balances
  • Reconciliation of turnover, profit, taxes and statutory information with financial statements and Income-tax Returns.
  • Preparation of Tax Audit Reports using EasyOFFICE Tax Audit Software.
  • Coordination with seniors for finalisation and uploading of Tax Audit Reports.
  • Maintenance of proper audit files, checklists and supporting documents.

Other Responsibilities

  • Downloading notices, intimations, challans and other documents from the Income-tax portal.
  • Preparation of basic responses to Income-tax notices and online communications.
  • Assisting in rectification applications and return-processing matters.
  • Following up with clients for pending information and documents.
  • Maintaining client-wise compliance records and due-date trackers.
  • Ensuring timely completion of assignments within statutory deadlines.
  • Maintaining confidentiality of client information and financial data.
  • Providing regular work-status updates to reporting seniors.

Required Skills

  • Detailed knowledge of Income-tax Return preparation and filing.
  • Practical understanding of ITR Forms 1 to 7.
  • Good knowledge of TDS and Tax Audit provisions.
  • Hands-on experience with:
  • KITRET/KDK Income-tax Software
  • EasyOFFICE TDS Software
  • EasyOFFICE Tax Audit Software
  • Working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word and PDF utilities.
  • Ability to reconcile financial and tax data accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation.
  • Ability to work independently in a back-office environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and statutory deadlines.
  • Good written communication and basic client-coordination skills.

Educational Qualification

  • B.Com., M.Com., CA Inter, CMA Inter or equivalent qualification.
  • Candidates having completed articleship or having experience with a Chartered Accountancy firm will be preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum 1 to 3 years of practical experience in Income-tax Return preparation, TDS compliance and Tax Audit work.
  • Fresh candidates with strong practical training in the above areas may also be considered.

Preferred Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should be sincere, responsible, process-oriented and capable of handling Income-tax, TDS and Tax Audit assignments with minimum supervision. The position is primarily for back-office taxation and compliance work, with limited client-facing responsibilities.

Pay: From ₹15,000.00 per month
