Industrial Designer – Accessories, Toys & Experiences

Your Opportunity

At woom, we design more than bikes – we create imaginative, kid-focused products that inspire riding, play, and adventure. In this role, you’ll take ideas from sketch to final product, with a core focus on driving our accessories roadmap and expanding into new categories such as toys and unique riding experiences. You’ll apply an all-round industrial design skillset to deliver user-centric, inventive solutions that add real value to kids’ journeys – on and off the bike. From concept research to production, you’ll work closely with engineers, product managers, and senior designers to shape products that bring joy, creativity, and exploration to young riders.

Your Mission

• Be a creative force in a small, fast-paced team, driving innovative, kid-focused accessories and expanding into new categories like toys and unique riding experiences.
• Shape the accessories and product roadmap by identifying opportunities, setting clear design directions, and ensuring user needs remain at the core.
• Lead the design process from user research through prototyping, testing, and iteration to deliver exceptional products and experiences.
• Create high-quality 3D CAD (Solidworks preferred) and photorealistic renders for prototyping and production.
• Develop compelling design stories and presentations that clearly communicate ideas to both internal and external audiences.
• Collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, CMF experts, suppliers, and manufacturing partners to ensure designs excel in function, form, and finish.
• Champion design thinking across the business, inspiring creativity and promoting a user-focused approach in every project.
• Contribute to a consistent, on-brand product experience across bikes, accessories, packaging, and new product categories.

Your Skills

• 2+ years experience in a product or industrial design role, in-house or consultancy.
• BA and/or MA in Industrial or Product Design.
• Highly proficient in KeyShot.
• Excellent knowledge of 3D CAD (SolidWorks preferred).

• Strong sketching, model making / prototyping, and 2D design development skills (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
• A clear understanding of user-centered design principles.
• Strong graphical presentation and layout abilities.
• Ability to work across multiple categories with a consistent design language.
• Understanding of materials, finishes, and manufacturing processes.
• Exceptional eye for detail, proportion, and form.

• Team player who thrives in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
• Take initiative and work independently when required.
• Fluent in English, German is definitely a plus

Our sustainable and lightweight bikes have won awards and created a loyal customer base all over the world! We are an international, multicultural team with more than 10 nationalities. Our working environment is flexible: in our cool office you sit in the middle of the team for optimal exchange, but you also have enough space to work in peace and the possibility to use home office. With over 180 employees it can be difficult to maintain the startup atmosphere, so we place a lot of emphasis on a friendly working atmosphere and extensive onboarding.

For this position, depending on your experience we offer you a minimum gross monthly salary starting at EUR 3.000 on a full-time basis. Of course, we take into account your individual qualifications and experience and are willing to pay an appropriate overpayment. We will be happy to discuss details in person.
