Job Overview
At Pro Paint, we specialize in high-quality sandblasting and industrial coating services. Our team takes pride in delivering superior workmanship and maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality. We’re currently looking for local to Red Deer, shop based Industrial Painter/Coaters to join our growing team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prior to starting coating activities, the following is reviewed with the Supervisor, QC Lead & Project Manager: Review Work Order (WO), Inspection Test Plan (ITP), and SDS/TDS/PDS. Confirm coatings/painting products with Supervisor &/or QC Lead prior to beginning the task.
  • Actively participates in Pro Paint’s Health & Safety Program by contributing to the start-of-shift field level hazard assessment, morning toolbox meetings, and weekly safety meetings.
  • Proper use of equipment and tools as per Pro Paint Safe Work Practices (SWPs) and Safe Job Procedures (SJPs).
  • Ensuring defective tools and equipment are noted on inspection forms and communicated to the Shop Supervisor promptly and timely.
  • Ensures work area is clean at the end of the day including putting away tools and equipment in their proper location, removing clutter from benches and work areas, storing hoses properly, sweeping floors, removing garbage.

  • Ensure proper storage and disposal of waste materials and products.
  • Respond promptly and timely to incident reporting including near miss, property damage, first aid, vehicle incidents and medical aids and report to Shop Supervisor.
  • Assists with worksite inspections as requested.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in industrial painting/coating in a shop environment an asset.
  • CSTS 2020, WHMIS 2015, Confined Space, other safety tickets may be required based on project requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy materials safely (up to 50lbs)
  • Team-oriented with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Willingness to learn and take direction in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
