Aureus Solutions is seeking a part-time Industrial Water/Wastewater Operator to join our growing and dynamic team. This position will help operate, monitor and troubleshoot an industrial wastewater treatment system. A provincial operating licensing is not required for this system. Industrial Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator

Operator Responsibilities and Day-to-Day Functions:

• Perform daily operations in accordance performance needs and regulatory requirements
• Monitor and report on plant performance
• Perform plant cleaning (regular and semi-annual)
• Identify and take corrective actions to operating problems in the treatment plant
• Oversee waste contractor as required
• Other duties as assigned

Work Schedule:

• Part-time, up to 20hrs/week, during regular business hours. (07:00 am-05:00 pm)

Qualifications:

• Completion of Grade 12 Diploma; or GED
• Related Post-Secondary education in water and/or wastewater treatment, laboratory, or an environmental would be an asset
• Water/wastewater provincial license would be an asset
• Valid driver license
• Excellent communication skills, both written and orally
• Ability to work independently with off-site supervision
• Ability to lift over 20 kgs
• Ability to work cooperatively with others and in a team environment
• Satisfactory Criminal Background Check.
