Infant/ Toddler Teacher Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote cognitive, motor, language, and social-emotional development for infants and toddlers.
  • Provide attentive care that meets each child's individual needs, including feeding, diapering, nap times, and hygiene routines.
  • Create a warm and welcoming classroom atmosphere that encourages exploration, creativity, and positive interactions among children.
  • Monitor developmental milestones and document progress to inform ongoing care and communicate effectively with parents and guardians.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment by adhering to health and safety regulations, including proper sanitation practices.
  • Manage classroom routines with patience and consistency while demonstrating strong classroom management skills.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan activities that support early childhood education standards and inclusive practices for children with disabilities or special needs.

Infant/ Toddler Teacher Skills

  • Proven experience working with infants and toddlers in a childcare or preschool setting.
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles, early childhood education best practices, and behavior management techniques.
  • Ability to implement classroom management strategies that foster positive behavior and social skills.
  • Certification in first aid and CPR to ensure immediate response to emergencies.
  • Experience working with children with special needs or disabilities is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills to engage effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and caregivers.
  • Familiarity with classroom experience in daycare environments or nannying/babysitting roles that involve caring for young children. Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
