About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Manager to lead our small internal ICT team and manage a broad portfolio of technology services. Based at our Bulwer Island office in Pinkenba, Brisbane, and reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will work closely with senior leaders, staff and external service providers to ensure our networks, systems, support services and software solutions are reliable, secure and aligned with business objectives. You will also be responsible for developing team capability, setting priorities, managing workloads and fostering a responsive, service-focused ICT culture.
The successful candidate will combine hands-on technical understanding with strategic thinking, people leadership and strong project management capability. You will oversee day-to-day ICT operations and support, lead network and infrastructure improvements, coordinate software development and system enhancement projects, and provide clear direction, coaching and performance support to ICT team members. You will help the business manage the opportunities and risks associated with cyber security, cloud platforms, mobility, artificial intelligence and digital transformation, while building productive relationships with staff, vendors, consultants and specialist partners.
Key Responsibilities
Lead ICT operations across networks, infrastructure, system development, applications and user support.
Manage software applications, ERP, POS and business-critical platforms, including licensing, updates, support and vendor engagement.
Oversee software development of key ERP, CRM and BI systems enhancement and integration projects delivered by internal resources and external suppliers.
Manage, coach and develop ICT team members, including setting priorities, allocating work and supporting performance outcomes
Build a collaborative, accountable and service-focused ICT team culture.
Manage the performance, availability and security of network infrastructure across corporate, depot and retail locations in regional Qld, NSW, VIC and Tas.
Ensure responsive ICT support for staff across all locations, including effective issue resolution and service improvement.
Manage ICT staff, the internal systems analysis function, subcontractors and external technology partners.
Translate business requirements into practical ICT solutions, system improvements and software development priorities.
Maintain and continually improve disaster recovery and business continuity processes.
Lead cyber and information security initiatives, including cyber awareness training.
Manage supplier relationships, contracts and service levels.
Maintain accurate documentation of ICT systems, network architecture, software architecture and support processes.
Coordinate ICT training and support for staff.
Develop and implement the ICT strategy in alignment with business objectives.
Ensure company compliance with relevant statutory regulations and laws.
About you
A minimum of 10 years’ experience managing ICT in a business of similar size and complexity.
A tertiary qualification in ICT, computer science, software engineering or a related discipline.
ERP and CRM development and management experience is highly regarded.
Proven experience leading, mentoring and managing ICT team members in an operational environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders with varying levels of technical knowledge.
Strong project management capability and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities.
The ability to analyse data and make sound, practical recommendations.
Petroleum industry experience is highly regarded but not essential.
