Job Summary
Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a Molding Operator, where you'll play a vital role in producing high-quality plastic components through various molding processes. Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor plastic molding machines, including plastics injection molding, blow molding, and extrusion equipment, ensuring optimal performance and product quality.
- Set up molds, adjust machine parameters using programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and troubleshoot equipment issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to verify dimensions and adherence to specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery, including press brake machines, CNC lathes, CNC machines, and other fabrication tools to ensure smooth operation.
- Handle materials efficiently using forklifts and other materials handling equipment, ensuring safe movement of raw materials and finished products within the warehouse or production area.
- Assist in assembly processes when required, ensuring components are correctly fitted and assembled according to specifications.
- Follow lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow, reduce waste, and improve overall productivity.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience operating plastics blow molding, injection molding, extrusion machinery, and fabrication tools.
- Proficiency in programming and troubleshooting programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for machine automation.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments for quality inspection.
- Experience with CNC lathe operations and CNC programming is a plus.
- Ability to handle materials safely using forklifts and other warehouse equipment; forklift certification preferred.
- Knowledge of plastics manufacturing processes including plastics injection molding, blow molding, and extrusion techniques.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and process adjustments.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing practices to promote efficiency and continuous improvement.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
