We are seeking candidates for the following position based out of the West Leederville office.

This role is an exciting opportunity for a professional who is experienced and interested in delivering high quality injury management services and has a passion for helping people and their communities. The role involves collaborating with our WA local government members, injured workers, external stakeholders and our internal WorkCare team, to deliver injury management related services, support, and advise which produces cost effective outcomes for the Scheme and our members.

The Injury Management team’s strategic focus is on delivering evidence-based injury management services which help to mitigate the cost and duration of worker’s compensation claims, making it a meaningful role for professionals passionate about supporting local governments and ensuring timely treatment and positive return to work outcomes.



We will count on you to:

  • Deliver injury management related services and support to local government staff across WA, ensuring stakeholder satisfaction and cost-effective outcomes.
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders throughout the claim process, including the LGIS WorkCare Claims team, injured workers, Local Government contacts, workplace rehabilitation providers, external service providers, and any other key parties.
  • Monitor treatment management plans and workplace rehabilitation providers.
  • Provide education and support services to local government member organisations, along with regular updates on industry news and injury management practices.
  • Drive innovation to improve workers compensation claims outcomes and Scheme performance.
  • Collaborate with LGIS risk management teams to identify and mitigate emerging claim trends.
  • Ensure legislative and WorkCover WA compliance as relevant to self-insurers.



What you ideally have:

  • Qualifications in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology (essential)
  • Relevant industry accreditations
  • Knowledge and experience in injury management
  • Enthusiasm and willingness to learn and develop
  • Excellent communication and group presentation skills
  • Effective time management skills
  • Strong computer literacy, including skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • A willingness and capability to travel across WA to support all local governments who are members of LGIS, supported by a current WA driver’s license
