Role summary: Describe the primary purpose of this job
・Drive efficient delivery of Korea Wellness product innovation projects in alignment with category/brand strategy and
innovation model.
・Ensure solid insight-based innovation and portfolio strategy, leading to vision board
・Drive commercial-wide collaboration for solid alignment on and integrated execution planning for innovation projects.
・Support improving PAL’s capability in wider marketing team
Key Roles & Responsibilities: List up to 6 key roles and responsibilities of this role

  • Portfolio Planning
  • Define innovation portfolio strategy and lay out and update product vision board
  • Lead the BU portfolio review prep. from marketing perspective
  • Collaborate with brand team and R&D for FEI-related initiatives.

  • Innovation Project Management
  • Manage innovation projects for Wellness category in marketing remit, by driving decision making, risk mitigation and contingency planning, issue resolution, hence efficient project delivery according to timeline.
  • Work as PAL, closely working with brand team and collaborating with R&D, Reg., QSC, commercial, PMO.
  • Ensure strategic, fit-for-purpose contents for Gate doc, including 5S framework, and robust discussions pre/at/post PMB
  • Drive commercial alignment, incl. facilitating end-to-end joint planning sessions to understand and document the scope of the projects and ensure on time project delivery to market.
  • Communicate to key stakeholders for alignment and discussions. Work closely with representatives across functions (Commercial, R&D, QSC; global, regional, BU) to ensure Wellness innovation deliverables/metrics are achieved.

  • Training and mentoring
  • Capability building for the local PALs by identifying knowledge gaps and deliver OJT and training contents
  • Lead successful on-boarding of new brand team members wrt innovation project.
  • Be a mentor in project, risk, and stakeholder management to increase PALs efficiency and performance.
  • Drive the culture of innovation (encouraging learning & courageous, creative, critical thinking).
Business Expertise: Describe the requirement for knowledge and expertise to achieve business objectives. Explain the degree of understanding required for example of the industry, commercial environment and of competitors products and services.
  • Experience in end-to-end innovation process from consumer insights to conceptualization, development, launch & post launch
  • Strong project planning and management skills, ability to manage multiple projects
  • Extensive experience in innovation and brand management with commercial acumen.
  • OTC and/or FMCG exposure
Problem Solving: Describe the nature and complexity of the problems this position encounters on a recurring basis. Include information regarding the level of innovation required, if any, and include mention of factors that may add to the complexity of resolving issues.
  • Strong problem-solving skills: ability to anticipate and identify areas of issue, know when to support via deep dive and provide recommendations for resolution to keep the projects moving
  • Proven ability to accept accountability for actions and decisions
Nature & Area of Impact: To what degree does this role affect the business (i.e., through interactions with customers, making decisions, defining or setting strategy, etc.)? What is the breadth of the impact that this job has, either positive or negative (i.e., affects own team, department, function, business unit, geography, entire business, etc.)?
  • The role leads the innovation portfolio management and project management, having significant impact on the brand’s growth by delivering innovation.
