The Position
The primary responsibility of this role will be to manage & respond to online lead forms through Hubspot, complete a seamless onboarding process with clients, manage account set-up for the Sales Division and maintain a small book of business with ongoing client communications. A successful candidate will understand science, food nutritional & dietary supplement testing, including microbiology, and wet & analytical chemistry. The Inside Sales Representative will work closely with the Business Development Manager’s and Internal Operations Teams to create a smooth & unique customer experience.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
· Generate and close new business leads on a regular and reoccurring basis to achieve key commercial KPIs and drive overall business growth.
· Provide client support by fielding technical inquiries from clients and prospects and understanding what tools can be used, including internal personnel and documentation to provide resolution.
· Develop proposals for existing and prospective clientele.
· Understand the onboarding process and ensure a smooth and seamless customer experience.
· Actively use the HubSpot CRM to capture all communications – including hunting & farming activities – including stage management of the business cycle.
· Provide QBench portal training as requested by clients.
· Maintain relationships with clients and build collaborative relationships with internal personnel to ensure stellar customer support.
· Prioritize daily tasks and workload to keep a smooth and efficient workflow.
· Assist the VP of Sales in organizing meetings and Business Reviews.
· Assist in marketing activities associated with Trade Organizations as directed by the VP of Sales.
· Continue to expand revenue opportunities with newly onboarded accounts.
· Other duties as assigned by the VP of Sales.
Required Skills and Abilities
· Strong written and oral communication skills and report writing experience.
· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
· Ability to work well independently and with a cross-functional team.
· Strong understanding of Hubspot or other CRM platforms, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Google Docs and Project Management software.
· Ability to meet deadlines, handle multiple priorities, and take proactive initiative.
· Ability to work in a team.
· Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
Required Education and Experience
· 1 year of experience in the food testing lab industry.
· Bachelor’s degree in food or supplement science, including microbiology or chemistry.
· Strong background and belief in customer service.
· 1 year experience in coordinating and administering tasks in an office and/or lab environment.
· Previous food testing experience.
· US work authorization.
