Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and organized Inside Sales & Operations Coordinator to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping customers, solving problems, and keeping operations running smoothly. You'll be the primary point of contact for customers, processing orders, purchasing inventory, helping our service mechanics, coordinating deliveries, and supporting our sales efforts.
This is a small business, so we're looking for someone who is proactive, takes ownership of their work, isn't afraid to jump in wherever needed, and wants to grow with the company.
Duties
- Answer inbound phone calls and assist customers with product inquiries and orders.
- Process sales orders accurately and efficiently.
- Purchase inventory from vendors and maintain stock levels.
- Process service tickets for our mechanics
- Manage inventory by monitoring quantities, receiving products, and identifying replenishment needs.
- Schedule and coordinate local deliveries with company drivers.
- Make outbound sales calls to existing and prospective customers.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through excellent service.
- Work closely with warehouse, drivers, and management to ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
- Resolve customer questions and issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Learn our product lines and recommend solutions that best fit customer needs.
- Assist with general office and operational tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous customer service, inside sales, purchasing, or office experience preferred.
- Experience in construction materials (sewer and water / concrete / asphalt), industrial supply, equipment, or distribution is a plus but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable using computers and learning new software systems (QuickBooks experience is a plus).
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Reliable, dependable, and eager to learn.
- Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player.
Compensation
- $18.00–$25.00 per hour, based on experience.
- Performance-based bonus opportunities.
