We have an amazing opportunity to join an exciting and innovative team as an Inside Sales Specialist. This role combines inside sales/customer service and technical/systems knowledge to sell products, services and solutions to new and existing customers.

Job Summary

As an Inside Sales Specialist, you will combine customer service excellence, technical curiosity, and commercial thinking to manage and grow relationships across a varied customer base. You’ll support customers through every step of the process — from enquiry to delivery — while identifying solutions and opportunities that strengthen Avnet Silica’s market position. Your work will directly influence revenue growth, customer satisfaction, and Avnet Silica’s continued regional success.

What will you be doing?

  • Provide solutions-oriented customer support using sound judgement and established sales methodologies.
  • Manage inbound and outbound enquiries, promoting Avnet Silicas offerings, services, and capabilities.
  • Oversee the full sales cycle — from first contact to fulfilment — ensuring customer requirements are met or exceeded.
  • Grow relationships with existing accounts through proactive communication, project understanding, and pipeline awareness.
  • Collaborate closely with product management, materials teams, field sales, and suppliers to deliver best-in-class solutions.
  • Create accurate quotations, pricing information, product guidance, and end‑to‑end support.
  • Coordinate customer needs across inventory, lead times, and pricing.
  • Support team initiatives, special projects, and continuous improvement efforts.

You’re someone who thrives in a customer-focused, fast-paced sales environment. You bring:

  • Relevant inside sales or technical customer service experience.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with customers quickly.
  • High levels of initiative, independence, and problem-solving ability.
  • A proactive mindset and the ability to identify new opportunities for growth.
  • Experience with SAP/ERP systems and strong Excel proficiency.
  • A collaborative approach with the ability to work well across departments.
  • Willingness to travel on occasion for customer meetings or training.
