Our Restructuring & Recovery team works across a diverse range of coporate and personal insolvency, restructuring and recovery engagements, from SME's through to large, complex appointments. You'll work alongside experienced Directors and Managers, gaining exposure to technically challenging matters while building your own expertise and professional profile.
Description:
What you’ll do
As a key member of our Restructuring & Recovery team you will:
Manage a portfolio of small to medium insolvency and restructuring appointments from commencement through to completion
Work directly with Directors and Managers on the day to day management of appointments
Lead investigations into the financial affairs of distressed companies and individuals
Prepare statutory reports, correspondence and detailed client communications
Conduct solvency assessments and financial analysis
Liase with creditors, banks, legal advisors and regulatory authorities
Assist with commercial litigation by preparing briefs and supporting legal proceedings
Analyse financial statements and identity key commercial and financial issues
Prioritise and manage workloads to meet deadlines
Skills and Experiences:
What you’ll bring
You'll be someone who enjoys solving complex problems, taking ownership of your work and thrives in a collaborative environment.
A degree in Business, Commerce or Accounting (or equivalent)
CA or CPA qualification (or be actively working towards it)
Proven Australian experience in a similar role within an insolvency environment across personal and corporate insolvency
Strong knowledge of the Corporations Act 2001, Bankruptcy Act 1966 and relevant insolvency legislation.
Previous experience using insolvency and accounting software such as INSOL, Xero and, MYOB
Excellent analytical, communication and relationship building skills.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
A high level of professionalism, attention to detail and emotional intelligence.
