Position Responsibilities

• Develop and teach class content appropriate to the course description and level.

• Develop appropriate tools necessary to offer quality.

• Provide feedback to class participants and proper instruction in use of support materials.

• Monitor participants and their ability to participate as well as attire to properly perform, i.e., shoes, etc., if applicable.

• Provide a safe environment for all participants and enforce all general building policies.

• Complete any necessary reports and forms, i.e., Accident Reports, Health Forms, Attendance Records, Supply Requests, etc.

• Responsible for preparation for program activities, preparing lesson plans, organizing relative equipment and may be required to set-up and break-down materials used for instruction.

• Attend meetings as required and is responsible for finding a dependable, appropriate substitute upon their absence or contacting all participants.

• Other duties assigned as appropriate by the position.

Independence Of Action

Work is performed in accordance with established procedures and well-defined standard practices requiring some authority to select which methods are applicable in any given situation. Virtually all work is reviewed regularly while in progress and upon completion for accuracy and quality. Matters not specifically covered in operating instructions are reviewed with the supervisor.?

Work requires extended periods of hearing and speaking in a loud voice for up to an hour at a time; requires public relations skills in handling concerns and complaints; entails working closely with others and working with little to no supervision; requires excellent organizational/time management skills.? Requires muscular exertion and/or physical strain and frequent concentration on an activity where the flow of work is intermittent or the operation involves little attention or checking; requires the ability to hear, the use of hands to fingers, reach, climb, bend, stoop, crouch and occasionally lift objects weighing less than 24 lbs.
