Overview
We are seeking a skilled Insulator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and a solid understanding of insulation materials and techniques. This role requires hands-on experience with various tools and equipment, as well as the ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively. The Insulator will play a crucial role in ensuring that buildings are energy-efficient and comfortable by applying insulation materials in accordance with industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Install insulation materials in walls, ceilings, floors, and other areas of buildings to enhance energy efficiency.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, and fit insulation materials as needed.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to determine insulation requirements.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals on-site to ensure proper installation techniques are followed.
- Perform caulking and sealing around windows, doors, and other openings to prevent air leaks.
- Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes.
- Assist in the fabrication of insulation components as required for specific projects.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction with a focus on insulation installation preferred.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment related to insulation work.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand HVAC systems is an advantage.
- Experience with various construction methods including framing carpentry, metal stud framing, masonry, plastering, stucco application, concrete finishing, and trim carpentry.
- Familiarity with construction estimating processes is beneficial.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately for effective project execution.
- Knowledge of airless paint spraying techniques is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
