Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Insurance Defense Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various areas of law, including personal injury, workers' compensation, and litigation. This role requires exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to effectively represent clients in complex legal matters. The Insurance Defense Attorney will be responsible for providing comprehensive legal services, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and advocating for our clients' best interests.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in insurance defense cases, including personal injury, workers' compensation, and landlord-tenant disputes.
• Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies.
• Draft legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence with precision and clarity.
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients while maintaining a focus on favorable outcomes.
• Prepare for and participate in litigation proceedings, including depositions and court appearances.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff to ensure effective case management.
• Stay updated on changes in relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends affecting insurance defense.
• Provide guidance on estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, family law, securities law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, and other relevant areas as needed.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
• Proven experience in insurance defense or related fields such as personal injury or workers' compensation law.
• Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful settlements.
• Excellent writing skills with experience in legal drafting and documentation.
• Familiarity with legal research tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced law office environment with strong organizational skills.
• Prior experience in litigation is highly desirable; knowledge of additional areas such as family law or environmental law is a plus.
