The Role

We’re looking for a senior Interactive Product Designer with expertise in software design, particularly within financial management solutions. In this role, you’ll work closely with Product Owners, Engineers, and other stakeholders to create seamless, user-friendly experiences. You’ll take ownership of the design phase across product initiatives, from contributing to discovery and research, through to prototyping and delivering high-fidelity UI design.

What you’ll be doing

• Leading the design phase of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), collaborating with Product Owners, Engineers, and other internal stakeholders to gather insights and refine design solutions.
• Owning end-to-end design projects, managing priorities and aligning with key business objectives.
• Building prototypes and high-quality interface designs in Figma, strictly following the existing design system and visual direction.
• Where necessary, updating or expanding design system components while ensuring consistency across the product.
• Conducting user research and usability testing to inform design decisions and using analytics tools such as Pendo to analyse user behaviour and trends.
• Ensuring a clear, intuitive and consistent user experience across all features, following best practices in enterprise software design.
• Facilitating design workshops and stakeholder reviews to validate concepts and iterate based on feedback.
• Maintaining brand and visual consistency throughout the product, ensuring all touchpoints align with the company’s design language and UX guidelines.
• Staying up to date with industry and UX trends, particularly in fintech and enterprise design, and applying forward-thinking design practices to help shape the strategic direction of the product.
• Supporting documentation of UX decisions, patterns, and design rationale where relevant.

What you’ll need

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in UX/UI or Product Design, with a focus on mid-market software and financial management tools.
• Strong proficiency in Figma, including prototyping and managing design systems.
• Solid understanding of user research methodologies and proven experience applying user insights to inform and improve design decisions.
• Experience in designing complex, data-intensive applications, particularly within finance, accounting, or business intelligence domains.
• Familiarity with Pendo or similar analytics tools, using behavioural data to support design strategies.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with Product, Engineering, and other cross-functional teams.
• A strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to balance user needs, technical constraints, and business goals.
• Experience working in agile product teams and within structured Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) processes.
• Familiarity with financial terminology and workflows (e.g., invoicing, reporting, ledgers, reconciliations) is a plus.
• Experience working within SaaS-based financial software or fintech products is a strong advantage.
