Overview
We are seeking a skilled Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a sound understanding of electrical fundamentals, PLC’s, hydraulics, pneumatics, along with the ability to read and interpret schematics, ability to comprehend circuits and components. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our systems and infrastructure, contributing to the overall efficiency of our organization.

Responsibilities

  • Supports MPI lean culture and initiatives by attending and participating in daily lean meetings while supporting efforts to make continuous improvements throughout MPI.
  • Follow schematics, drawings, and written procedures to assemble equipment to specifications including electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical assemblies.
  • Startup of newly built equipment including high voltage connections, software installation, component setup and calibration.
  • Follow quality control checklists to confirm machine operation.
  • Use shop interface manuals for MPI interface procedures.
  • Work with other departments as needed to resolve any engineering or manufacturing related problems.
  • Operate forklift for material transport, upon completion of MPI training.
  • Operate chain hoists and lift tables, upon completion of MPI training.
  • Follow all Personal Protection Program guidelines.
  • Compliance of all OSHA and MPI Safety Procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Experience

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Excellent understanding of electrical fundamentals, PLC’s, hydraulics, pneumatics, and the ability to read and interpret schematics, ability to comprehend circuits and components.
  • Advanced skill level and ability to perform technical trouble shooting and diagnostics of mechanical and electrical components and control mechanisms.
  • Mechanical experience in assembly or repair.
  • 2 years of college or technical school with 2 years’ experience, or 5 years of related experience and training.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
