Position Overview
- Title: Manager of Program and Services
- Reports to: Director of Program & Services
- Hours: 40 hrs/week, Monday–Friday, 8 am–4 pm
- Division: Programs & Services
Summary
The Program Manager:
- Trains, schedules, and supervises the DTM Shelter Services Team
- Has deep understanding of homelessness issues and service delivery for vulnerable people
- Works to build and maintain strong relationships with staff, volunteers, donors, and partners while upholding DTM’s goals and values
Education
- Bachelor’s in Social Work, Psychology, Social Services, Community Services, or related field
- Diploma/Certificate in a related human services field may be accepted
- Combination of education and work experience considered
Skills, Knowledge & Requirements
- CPR/First Aid, Non-Violent Crisis Intervention, HIFIS, Rent Smart, HR management, Mental Health First Aid
- Leadership and supervisory skills (staff & volunteers)
- Knowledge of homelessness causes, concurrent mental health disorders, recovery approaches, and resources
- Familiarity with Naloxone use
- Strong problem-solving, analysis, and creativity
- Health & Safety compliance
- Advanced Office Suite, HIFIS (preferred), presentation tools, digital platforms
- Valid driver’s license with clean abstract
- Leadership experience with staff supervision
- Minimum 2 years in non-profit sector, serving homeless populations
- Office 365 proficiency
Financial Management
- Supports Director to meet and maintain budget responsibilities
- Promotes cost efficiency awareness within the team
Staff Management
- Oversees Case Managers, Service Support Workers, and other staff/volunteers
- Encourages teamwork, feedback, recognition, and diversity appreciation
Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure safe and effective guest services
- Build relationships with community partners to improve guest outcomes
- Assist Director with operational plan implementation and evaluation
- Keep HR records updated
- Lead program staff/volunteers
- Support recruitment, training, and evaluation of staff
- Protect confidential information
- Maintain high ethical and professional standards
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance management
- Ensure training compliance
- Address health and safety concerns
- Work with vulnerable adults in diverse environments
- Maintain respectful relationships per DTM’s code of conduct
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $52,000.00-$56,000.00 per year
