Our Opportunity
We are looking for a motivated person to join the Quality Bakers Team in Wellington. The successful candidate will become an integral member of the manufacturing team working on the production line and reporting through to the Production Team leader. You will start with a gritty attitude and willingness to learn. To ensure success in this role you will have good verbal and written skills and be committed to following processes and procedures. Interacting with a variety of people will come naturally to you, and while you will actively contribute to the team you will be disciplined enough to work autonomously.
Shift Patterns: (Note: We have 4x Roles Available)
1) Sun, Mon, Tues 1.30am start, Wed 8am start (40 hrs pw)
2) Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat 1.30am start (40 hrs pw)
3) Wed 12pm, Thurs, Fri, Sat 5.30am start (40 hrs pw)
Pay rate: $25.40 p/h - $26.15 p/h + night shift allowance
Key accountabilities of the role include:
- Operation of machinery and equipment on the processing line
- Preparation of Raw goods mixes for production
- Participates in all modes of production (operation, troubleshooting, cleaning)
- Actively works to achieve the daily plan ensuring machinery and equipment is available when required
- Adhering to the company's Health and Safety/Food Safety (HACCP) policy and procedures
- Performs effective on line quality checks, product evaluation and monitoring.
- Maintaining a clean and safe work area
About You
The successful applicant will have:
- Experience in plant baking using automated equipment
- Strong Numerical and Literacy skills
- Health and Safety certificates (preferred)
- Food Safety and Quality certificates (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of work health and safety with demonstrated experience in previous workplaces
- Passion for bread and baking with a willingness to continually develop your learning
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- A positive work attitude and professional manner

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.40 – $26.15 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
