In its
Delegate Risk Oversight team, Waystone is proposing an internship lasting from 6 to 12 months.


There will be two rounds of interview in which you will be meeting Justine first and then Julie.


Intern
– Delegate Risk Oversight has unique requirements and duties; however, these responsibilities are to be executed within the organization’s framework of core values. Waystone expects all employees to be high performing, self-motivated, learners and leaders.


Summary: We are looking for an Intern - Delegate Risk Oversight who will assist the Manager in the management of ongoing and large-scale Delegate Oversight deliverables within the Waystone businesses, covering both AIFM and UCITS Management Company responsibilities. The role will oversee a range of international entities contracted by Waystone and help to ensure the ongoing regulatory compliance for all of these mandates and work in a supportive role within the team.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


What you will be doing:

  • Evaluate the Risk Oversight contained in each product’s delegated service provider and escalate to the Manager as appropriate.
  • Support implementation of internal operating controls (especially in relation to UCITS & AIFMD delegate monitoring and reporting).
  • Liaise closely with the various internal teams, covering Operations, Compliance, Relationship and Investment Risk teams to evaluate the Risk Oversight of each delegate.
  • Produce and deliver Risk Oversight-related products, through the oversight and management of source data, rectification of errors and generation of reports.
  • Actively question methods and processes with the key to making the team more effective and efficient.
  • Actively participate in meetings.
  • Assist in the development, testing, implementation of software that contributes to the efficiency of the department.
  • Foster positive team environment and ensure open communication.

What you need:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, including reporting and providing support to various members of the team.
  • Outstanding time management, organizational skills, oral/written communication skills, critical thinking and attention to detail is required.
  • Strong MS Office, Microsoft Excel, Word and Analytic Skills; mid-level information management software experience desirable.
  • Takes ownership and responsibility for own actions, performance and development.
  • Effectively manages own workflow, time and priorities.
  • Demonstrates trustworthiness and understands the need for confidentiality.
