ROLE DESCRIPTION
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of the LuxGovSat (LGS) Team in a fast-paced, growing organization within a dynamic industry for an internship lasting up to 9 months.
Based in Betzdorf, Luxembourg, you will contribute to LuxGovSat Mission Operations Centre (LGS MOC), Operations and Service Delivery continuous improvement with focus on new technologies, automation, systems enhancement and integration.
Your responsibilities will include (but will not be limited to):
- Understand and capture Operations requirements and collaborative tools that will enhance MOC capabilities working in a multidomain environment
- Improvement of Service Desk support tools (IP telephony, weather radar, activities dashboard, SES dataminer, etc.)
- Utilize data mining tools (i.e. Dataminer, PRTG, etc.) to analyze large sets of network data, identify patterns, and generate insights
- Develop and maintain dashboards for real-time visibility into network and SATCOM operations and key performance indicators (KPIs)Improve and enhance GovSat-1 and additional spacecrafts bus and payload health status monitoring
- Document processes, troubleshooting steps, and configurations for future reference and knowledge sharing
- Take part in the execution of Projects
YOUR PROFILE
- Bachelor/Master’s student/degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Current student in Aerospace Engineering, Information Technology or in a relevant area
- Strong interest in the global technology, media, and telecom business and satellite communications in particular
- Strong computer literacy and programming (Python, Git, GitHub, Matlab, etc.)
- Familiarity with data mining and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Dataminer, PRTG, etc.)
- Fluency in spoken and written English with additional languages considered an asset
