What’s the job?
Newly created role to support the rollout and integration of Zurich Cover-More’s Internal Control Integrated Framework across the ANZ business. Working with a range of stakeholders, the role will focus on establishing robust controls, ensuring processes are well-documented, tested and aligned with Zurich Group standards, while also reflecting local business activities and regulatory requirements.

You’ll contribute to the design and implementation of sustainable controls that integrate local requirements, legacy processes, and centralized/group controls. Including ICFR, financial reporting, business, operational, and IT controls.
You’ll provide training, education, and communication to build awareness and embed controls in day-to-day operations.
You’ll assist in developing and executing initial testing to evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of key controls.
You’ll act as a trusted advisor to regional finance teams and business leaders on risks, control expectations, compliance and best practices.
You’ll work closely with the central Internal Controls team to ensure regional implementation is consistent with group standards.

This position is offered as an 18-month maximum term contract and can be based in either our North Sydney or Brisbane office.

What are we looking for?
We are looking for a strong communicator and collaborator who can engage with diverse stakeholders and are able to translate complex control concepts into practical solutions to drive change and a fast-paced and complex environment.

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and proven experience in internal controls, risk management, audit or related roles within a global matrix environment (financial services experience highly regarded).
Strong track record in designing, implement and managing internal control frameworks, including control walkthroughs, testing and effectiveness assessments.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex control concepts and engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast paced environment managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Flexibility to engage with teams across multiple international time zones.

Why choose us?
We value optimism, caring, togetherness, reliability, results focus and forward-thinking.
We have more than 2900 employees worldwide: we’re a global group of digital specialists, actuaries, marketers, doctors, nurses, case managers, claims specialists, finance experts and customer service professionals. We share a global mission to look after travellers, at every step of their journey.

Job flexibility. We understand the importance of making sure that work fits into your life, not the other way around. Our hybrid work week policy ensures our employees maintain work-life balance with the flexibility of 5 days in the office per fortnight.

Career growth. We want you to continue to learn, develop and bring your ideas to the table. We want to hear what you think, and we want you to work with the business - not for the business!

Take the time you need, for you and your community. We encourage you to take the time you need, when you need it. We offer regular annual and personal leave benefits along with anniversary leave, volunteer leave and a comprehensive paid parental leave scheme.

Travel and work with us. We’ll help you keep travelling in your career, oh and quite literally with free travel insurance…so start planning for your next trip today!

Diversity and inclusion. We respect who you are and thoroughly embrace diversity. So whatever walk of life you wander, just be you and come as you are.

Apply today and let’s go great places together!
