Thesis Topic

As part of your Bachelor’s or Master’s thesis, you will analyze our company’s material planning processes and identify a suitable software solution to improve these processes.

The goal is to address current challenges in material planning and assess the feasibility of implementing the selected software.

Key Focus Areas:

• Analyzing current processes in material planning and identifying optimization potential.
• Researching and evaluating various software solutions (e.g., ERP, MRP, or specialized material planning systems).
• Developing a set of criteria for software selection (e.g., functionality, scalability, cost).
• Conducting a comparative analysis and providing a recommendation.
• (Optional) Developing a concept for implementing the chosen software within the company.

Your Responsibilities

• Conducting an analysis of our current material planning processes.
• Defining software requirements in close collaboration with our team.
• Performing market research and comparing potential software solutions.
• Preparing a proposal for the optimal software solution and presenting your findings.
• Documenting your work and providing practical recommendations.

Your Profile

• Enrolled student (m/f/d) in a relevant field of study, e.g., Business Administration, Logistics, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or related disciplines.
• Interest in material planning, process analysis, and software solutions.
• Basic knowledge or experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Microsoft Dynamics) is a plus but not mandatory.
• Strong analytical skills and a structured, independent working style.
• Good communication skills and enthusiasm for interdisciplinary collaboration.
