Summary
We are seeking an Inventory and Facility Manager to join our team at Advanced Pain Medical Group, reporting to the Director of Nursing and high involvement with the Chief Operations Officer/Chief Finance Officer. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing inventory control processes and ensuring that our medical supplies are managed efficiently to support our commitment to high-quality patient care. Also ensuring equipment, property management and repairs occur in a timely fashion. Depending on skills this role will oversee the scrub technicians, and an experienced scrub tech would be very successful in this role if they are looking to break into leadership. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining the operational effectiveness of our organization.
There is significant travel involved with this position as we have 4 surgery center locations that do not operate every day but inventory and equipment will need to be maintained at all 4: Bakersfield (4x's a month), Beverly Hills (2x's a month), West Hills (1-3x's a week), Westlake Village (3x's a week)- Please do not apply if you do not want to travel to all locations, this is mandatory of this role.
We also work a variable schedule M-F (no weekends), can start as early as 5am and end as late as 8pm, however most often the days run 6am-3pm. Please do not apply if you have scheduling limitations as this role runs with an ASC and these hours are required.
Responsibilities
- Manage inventory levels to ensure adequate supply of medical products and equipment.
- Manage equipment repairs and services.
- Manage contracts for materials, services, etc.
- Manage a budget that aligns with our organizational spending.
- Manage the facility needs with the property managers, for example HVAC repair scheduling.
- Write policies in connection with the Chief Operations Officer and Director of Nursing.
- Oversee the ordering, receiving, and storage of inventory in compliance with company policies.
- Implement inventory control systems and processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and make informed decisions regarding stock levels.
- Collaborate with various departments to forecast inventory needs based on patient care requirements.
- Conduct regular audits of inventory to maintain accuracy and minimize discrepancies.
- Develop and implement process improvements related to inventory management.
- Oversee up to 5 scrub techs/ SPD techs to ensure cost is controlled in the OR.
- Purchase Order maintenance with Chief Finance Officer.
Requirements
- Proven experience in inventory management within healthcare, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center with Pain, Spine and Ortho.
- Strong knowledge of inventory control practices and supply chain management principles.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data effectively. (Can be trained on this)
- Familiarity with storage of backstock is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to improve processes and enhance operational efficiency.
