Position Overview:
The ideal Investor Reporting Manager candidate will have 10 years of experience in investor reporting and a deep understanding of the financial services industry, particularly in managing bondholder requirements, syndicated accounts, and institutional investor relations. The role requires technical expertise in contract review, financial reconciliation, and reporting, with a focus on accurate and timely reporting to investors and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and deliver detailed investor reports, including but not limited to quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reporting for bondholders, institutional investors, and other key stakeholders.
- Analyze, reconcile, and validate syndicated accounts and financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with bondholder agreements and contractual obligations.
- Review and interpret complex contracts related to bondholder terms and syndicated financing agreements to ensure proper reporting and compliance.
- Maintain a high level of expertise on bondholder requirements, regulations, and market conditions impacting investor reporting.
- Coordinate with internal teams (e.g., finance, legal, and operations) to gather necessary data and ensure reporting accuracy.
- Develop and implement efficient processes for investor reporting and reconciliation, aiming to streamline workflows and minimize errors.
- Collaborate closely with institutional investors to address queries and ensure satisfaction with reporting accuracy and timeliness.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior team members and other departments as needed.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging reporting tools/technologies to continuously improve the investor reporting process.
Required Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field is required. A CFA or similar professional certification is preferred
- Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in investor reporting, financial services, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in reading and understanding complex contracts, syndicated accounts, and bondholder requirements.
- Advanced knowledge of financial reconciliation, reporting, and analysis. Familiarity with financial systems and software used in investor reporting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with institutional investors, internal stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
- Ability to produce highly accurate, error-free reports and documentation under tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for identifying discrepancies and implementing solutions.
- Experience in a highly technical, fast-paced environment with a focus on bondholder reporting and institutional investment.
- Familiarity with investor reporting software and data management systems.
- Knowledge of relevant financial regulations and compliance standards, particularly within the bondholder and institutional investor space.
Working Conditions:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- Positions self to install equipment, including under desks.
- Moves throughout the building to access files.
- Must be able to comprehend and follow written and oral instructions.
- Must be able to complete tasks even with frequent interruptions.
- Must be able to use discretion and independent judgment as needed.
- Must be able to speak clearly on the phone and to fellow workers.
