It Asset Management & Observability Intern
Location: SINGAPORE, Singapore

The intern will support the IT team in asset tracking and observability dashboard development. Monitor hardware, virtual assets, and backups for comprehensive oversight. Gain hands-on experience with IT monitoring tools, asset management systems, and data visualization.

Responsibilities:

  • Audit and update IT asset information in NetBox.
  • Identify gaps in asset tracking and maintain data accuracy.
  • Monitor hardware performance and health using CheckMK.
  • Track virtual assets and their resource use.
  • Monitor backup processes and restoration procedures.
  • Analyze data for system performance insights.
  • Develop Power BI dashboards for asset management and system metrics.
  • Document processes and create user guides.
  • Implement automated workflows for efficiency.
  • Provide updates in team meetings.
  • Research best practices for asset management and monitoring.

Requirements:

  • Pursuing a degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Basic understanding of IT infrastructure, virtualization, and asset management.
  • Knowledge of Power BI.
  • Willingness to learn NetBox.
  • Familiarity with monitoring systems like CheckMK is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of backup technologies and processes.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL, Python, or similar languages is beneficial.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.

  • Skills in data visualization with Power BI.
  • Understanding of system monitoring concepts with CheckMK.
  • Techniques for monitoring hardware, virtual environments, and backups.
  • Address data accuracy issues in asset tracking.
