The IT & Cybersecurity Manager will oversee Crown Roofing IT systems, infrastructure, and digital strategy, ensuring the business has robust, secure, and scalable technology to support operations across Europe. While day-to-day reactive support will continue to be delivered by Radius IT helpdesk, this role will focus on strategic IT management, cybersecurity, risk management, AI adoption, vendor oversight, compliance, KPI reporting, and continuous improvement.

The role holder must be based in Ireland to facilitate regular in-person meetings with the COO and to provide effective oversight of IT operations at Head Office. The position also requires flexibility to travel to project sites, industry events, and trade shows as needed.

The Office Manager will provide support to the IT & Cybersecurity Manager, assisting with coordination, communication with suppliers, and administration of IT processes.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic IT & Digital Transformation

    • Develop and implement an IT strategy aligned with Crown’s business objectives.
    • Identify opportunities for system improvements, automation, and efficiency gains.
    • Support digital transformation initiatives, ensuring Crown remains competitive in a high-tech, mission-critical sector.
    • Develop and lead Crown’s AI strategy – identifying opportunities to embrace AI for efficiency, project delivery, compliance, and knowledge management.
    • Promote AI awareness and education within the business, ensuring staff are trained and confident in using emerging technologies responsibly.

Vendor & Service Oversight

    • Act as the main liaison with Radius IT helpdesk and other IT suppliers.

    • Oversee IT contracts, licences, renewals, and procurement with administrative support from the Office Manager.

Infrastructure & Systems

    • Oversee IT infrastructure across offices and project sites in 10 countries.
    • Ensure reliability, scalability, and integration of core systems (ERP, project management tools, HR & compliance systems).
    • Support onboarding and offboarding of staff and offices, including setup, secure decommissioning, and handover of IT assets.
    • Maintain accurate IT asset registers, software licences, and user access rights, ensuring proper deactivation during offboarding.

Cybersecurity, Risk & Compliance

    • Develop and enforce IT security policies and protocols.
    • Monitor and mitigate cybersecurity risks, including carrying out regular risk assessments.
    • Ensure compliance with GDPR and other relevant regulations.
    • Develop clear IT onboarding/offboarding policies and processes, covering user access, data security, and recovery of devices.
    • Implement proactive measures for disaster recovery and business continuity.
    • Lead staff awareness and training programmes to minimise IT risk.
    • Ensure all Crown data, intellectual property, and systems are managed with the highest level of confidentiality. Sign and comply with a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA), with any sensitive IT matters only to be discussed with the COO and Board.

KPI Setting, Reporting & Continuous Improvement

    • Define and monitor IT performance KPIs (system uptime, helpdesk responsiveness, cybersecurity incidents, project delivery timelines, etc.).
    • Produce regular IT and cybersecurity performance reports for the Board, in collaboration with the COO.
    • Present insights, risks, and recommendations clearly and concisely to senior leadership.
    • Use KPIs to drive continuous improvement and accountability across IT suppliers and internal processes.

Projects & Innovation

    • Lead IT-related projects (e.g., system upgrades, cloud migrations, collaboration tools).
    • Oversee implementation of new software or platforms.
    • Work with the Office Manager to coordinate rollouts and communication to staff.
    • Encourage innovation and embrace emerging technologies, including AI-driven solutions.

Support to Leadership

    • Advise senior management on IT, cybersecurity, and AI investment decisions.
    • Provide regular IT performance, risk, and security updates to the COO.
    • Collaborate with the COO to ensure the Board receives timely, accurate, and strategic IT reporting.
    • Operate with the highest level of discretion, protecting all Crown intellectual property and private business information.
    • Ensure IT supports Crown’s growth, people, and operational excellence.
