We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled IT Engineer to join our growing team. This role will support the company’s IT infrastructure, systems, and users across multiple sites, liaising closely with our IT partners. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining and improving our IT Operations, ensuring business continuity, and supporting digital transformation initiatives.

While reporting to the Head of IT, the position will be primarily based in Mountrath, Co. Laois and will require regular site visits to other locations in Ireland. Duties will include:

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues
• Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices
• Help to manage user accounts, permissions, and backups across systems (e.g., Microsoft 365, Active Directory)
• Monitor and maintain network infrastructure including switches, firewalls, and Wi-Fi
• Support ERP and production systems, ensuring uptime and performance
• Assist with IT projects such as system upgrades and cybersecurity improvements
• Liaise with third-party vendors and service providers
• Document IT procedures and maintain asset registers
• Provide training and support to staff on IT systems and best practices

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree or diploma in IT, Computer Science, or a related field
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar IT support or engineering role
• Proficiency in Windows OS, Microsoft 365, networking, and cybersecurity fundamentals
• Experience with ERP systems and manufacturing IT environments is an advantage
• Full clean B driving license
• Must be a strong communicator with excellent problem-solving skills
• Be self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexible and adaptable to a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Willing to travel between company sites
