It Security Analyst – Email Security

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated IT Security Analyst – Email Security to join our IT Security Operations team. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience in Information Security, Email Security, or Cybersecurity. This role focuses on supporting enterprise email security solutions, monitoring email threats, assisting with incident response, and ensuring secure email communications across the organization.

The successful candidate should have hands-on experience with enterprise email security technologies, Microsoft 365 mail flow, and email authentication protocols such as SPF, DKIM, and DMARC. Exposure to Web Application Firewall (WAF) or PKI technologies is an added advantage.

Roles and Responsibilities

Email Security

• Support and administer enterprise email security platforms such as Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration or similar solutions.
• Monitor email security alerts and assist in investigating phishing, spam, malware, and business email compromise (BEC) incidents.
• Assist in configuring and troubleshooting SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records.
• Work with Microsoft 365 administrators to resolve mail delivery and security-related issues.
• Support DNS-related configurations for email authentication records.
• Review and maintain email security policies and mail filtering configurations.
• Participate in incident response and change management activities.
• Develop and maintain operational documentation and SOPs.
• Support compliance and audit activities related to email security controls.
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors.

Skills and Qualifications

Required:

• 4+ years of experience in Information Security, Network Security Operations, Email Security, or Cybersecurity.
• Hands-on experience with Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration, Proofpoint, Mimecast, Microsoft Defender for Office 365, or similar technologies.
• Understanding of Microsoft 365 mail flow and messaging security.
• Experience configuring SPF, DKIM, and DMARC.
• Knowledge of SMTP, mail gateways, and DNS TXT records.
• Experience using ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related discipline.
• Exposure to Imperva WAF, PKI, Microsoft Exchange Online, or Microsoft Defender.

Certifications:

• CompTIA Security+
• Microsoft 365 Certified: Messaging Administrator Associate
• Check Point Harmony Email & Collaboration Specialist (preferred)

Work hours may vary, and the position may require availability during off-business hours as dictated by project needs, system changes, or security events.
