We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join Valmet's Data Platforms Team as an IT Solution owner . As the key liaison between business, IT, partners, and customers, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our analytics landscape and contributing to the realization of our strategic objectives. You’ll be responsible for managing our Power Platform including Power BI ensuring that analytics and low-code solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with business needs.

Collaboration is central to this role: you’ll work closely with business stakeholders, development and infrastructure teams, as well as our Enterprise Architects. Together with business stakeholders, IT colleagues, and strategic vendors, you’ll deliver impactful analytics and low-code solutions and ensure high performance across our platforms.

This position can be located in any major Valmet location in Finland or India.

Key Responsibilities:

• Platform Governance & Administration: Support the management of the Power Platform including Power BI Service environment, including workspace governance, security, licensing, access control, and compliance with organizational and regulatory standards

• Collect and analyze business requirements for analytics and low-code solutions, collaborating with stakeholders to design and define effective solutions.

• Lead DevOps practices for Power Platform and Power BI, enabling scalable, automated deployments and lifecycle management.

• Manage budgets for related IT services and oversee financial planning for development projects.

• Oversee and ensure legacy and sunsetting analytics platforms migration to modern solutions

• Drive Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Stay current on analytics best practices, driving innovations and continuous improvements in analytics capabilities.

• Identify and implement improvements and optimization to enhance the efficiency and scalability of the analytics platforms

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of configurations, processes, and best practices, and facilitate knowledge sharing with the broader team.

To succeed in this position, we expect you to have:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in information technology, engineering, or relevant field.

• Proven experience in administering and managing Microsoft Power Platform or similar platforms.

• Understanding of citizen development principles (e.g. Power Platform) adoption and maintenance

• Experience with administering business intelligence tools (e.g. Power BI).

• Awareness of performance optimization techniques and Power BI capacity planning

• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to bridge business and technical teams.

• Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage timelines effectively.

Following experience is regarded as an advantage:

• Experience in Microsoft Azure services, including data platform related technologies.

• Understanding of data platforms, data management, and data architecture principles (data lake, data warehouse, metadata, governance)

• Familiarity with AI & Copilot features in Power BI and Power Platform

• Understanding data governance, security, and compliance principles, with experience implementing them in a Microsoft environment.

• Knowledge of data integration tools and techniques for ingesting and processing data from diverse sources.
