IT Support Administrator – Drogheda Branch

Job Purpose/Primary Objective

Drogheda Credit Union Ltd are recruiting for an IT Support Administrator in our Drogheda Branch and associated branches. The IT Support Administrator will support the delivery of high-quality technical services across the Credit Union. This full-time hybrid position is ideal for a proactive individual with strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills and a solution-focused mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

User Support & Troubleshooting

· Provide technical assistance to staff across hardware, software and access issues.

· Respond to IT queries through phone, remote support tools and onsite visits.

Microsoft 365 & User Administration

· Manage and support Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, SharePoint and Teams.

· Administer user accounts, access permissions and email configurations.

Device & Network Management

· Set up and maintain laptops, desktops, printers, smartphones and other devices.

· Troubleshoot and resolve basic network connectivity issues including Wi-Fi and VPN.

IT Security & Backup Monitoring

· Implement system updates and security protocols including antivirus and firewalls.

· Monitor backups and support data recovery as required.

Documentation & IT Projects

· Maintain accurate IT documentation, guides and procedures for end-users.

· Support the delivery of small to medium-scale IT improvement projects.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Essential Requirements

· Minimum of 2 years' experience in an IT Support role.

· Qualification in IT or relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Microsoft).

· Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Windows 10/11.

· Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.

· Full Irish/EU Driving Licence (for site support).

Desirable

  • Experience with VOIP systems and helpdesk ticketing tools.
  • Understanding of IT security best practices and backup technologies.
  • A proactive and team-oriented attitude with attention to detail.
