· Seabed Survey Division;

· MetOcean / Water Quality Division.

The Role:

The role of IT Systems XXX is responsible for assisting in the general day to day operations of Green Rebel’s IT Systems focussing on support driven requests via Helpdesk, handling the administration of adding & removing employees and generally the focal point of contact for IT on a day-to-day basis. The role also includes supporting the key elements of IT Departments wider scope that includes Security, Mobilisation and Demobilisation of various projects in the company. The successful candidate will be supporting the IT Systems Manager and Head of IT in their day to day workload.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Assist and provide in monitoring & maintenance of essential IT operations, not limited to operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, phones, printers, software, and hardware etc.

· Handle business-critical IT tasks and system improvements.

· Assist with faster and smarter business processes and employee productivity.

· Research and evaluate emerging technologies, hardware, and software under the guidance of the Head of IT.

· Support implementation of business standards & governance on IT certifications, regulations & security.

· Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests as per the IT Dept’s internal SLA.

· Assist in analysing IT needs, prepare for new staff onboarding & complete employee departures IT checks.

· Participate in the implementation of new systems, network design, documentation, testing, and administration.

· Implement and support software & application upgrades.

· Train employees in IT relevant policies & procedures.

· Assist in preparation & administration of documents relating to ISO27001 certification.

· Assist in supporting & implement the continual maintenance of network security measures.

· Administration of IT purchases through agreed procurement policy.

· Maintain backups of data, perform restores as per user requests & participate in periodic DR’s across the company.

· Diligently monitoring of support events from various sources & escalating as appropriate.

· Proactive remediation on devices to ensure up to date anti-virus, bios updates, Windows updates and any other ancillary improvements to ensure devices exposure is minimised.

· Provide remote & onsite support for employees across the various locations.

Skills Required / being used to perform in this position:

· Strong working knowledge of Windows Desktop operating systems from a support and install perspective.

· Minimum 3+ years’ experience in an IT related role.

· Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Cloud Services such as Intune, Entra Id, Exchange Online and various other portals.

· Perform tasks on an ad hoc basis based on previous training / documentation / demonstration accurately.

· Understand and supporting of daily operations of an IT Help Desk and escalation where required.

· Strong logical and methodical approach to problem solving.

· Great people skills as face to face and verbal communication are a key to the department.

· Strong documentation skills required for various areas such as ISO, creating user documentation, creating one’s own checklists / manuals, etc.

· Punctual.

· Full clean European driving license. Ability to travel to various company offices when required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: €45,000.00-€55,000.00 per year
