Currently, we are looking for an IT System Administrator to join our team.
Job Description
- Support and maintain IT infrastructure systems and end user services
- Perform day to day system administration across Windows and Linux environments
- Install, configure, patch, and troubleshoot operating systems
- Manage Active Directory users, groups, access permissions, and password policies
- Handle user onboarding, offboarding, and access provisioning and de-provisioning
- Provide Level 1 and Level 2 IT support and troubleshoot system issues
- Support Microsoft 365 (O365) including user mailbox creation and license management
- Assist with basic networking tasks including DNS, DHCP, VPN, and firewall rules
- Monitor system performance and perform routine maintenance activities
- Monitor backups and support restore activities when required
- Follow change, incident, and problem management processes
- Use ITSM tools to manage tickets, follow SLAs, and maintain documentation
- Maintain system documentation and standard operating procedures
- Support audits and ensure compliance with IT and security policies
Skills & Requirements
Primary Skills
- Core system administration fundamentals
- Windows Server basics including AD, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy
- Linux fundamentals including user management, permissions, and services
- OS installation, patching, and troubleshooting
- Networking basics including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, and LAN/WAN concepts
- VPN fundamentals including IPsec and SSL
- Firewall basics including rule creation and monitoring
- User and access management including AD user and group management
- Password policies and MFA basics
- Access provisioning and de-provisioning
- Microsoft 365 (O365) administration basics
- User mailbox creation and license assignment
- Azure AD (Entra ID) basic concepts
- Basic awareness of Azure and AWS including VMs and storage
- Security fundamentals including antivirus and endpoint protection
- Patch management
- Log monitoring and basic incident handling
- Awareness of ISO 27001 security policies
- Server and service monitoring basics
- Performance checks including CPU, RAM, and disk usage
- Basic root cause analysis
- Experience with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, or Freshservice
- Understanding of SLAs, documentation, and change and incident processes
Secondary Skills
- Backup and recovery concepts including full and incremental backups
- Restore testing basics
- Awareness of disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity (BCP) concepts
- Basic PowerShell scripting for Windows (nice to have)
- Basic Bash scripting for Linux (nice to have)
Soft Skills
- Good communication skills
- Strong documentation skills
- Ability to follow SOPs and change management processes
- Willingness to learn and support audits
- Team-oriented mindset with a support focus
