Job Description
This position supports the Air Force’s AFIN Mission Assurance Center (AMAC) Crew. Provide Tactical Command and Control support for the 688th Cyberspace Wing’s Cyberspace Operations and Support missions. Execute tasks assigned to crew and assist contractor/military/civilian teammates as needed.
Provide support to multiple mission areas to include Cyber Operations Control, Terrain Awareness, Integrated Security, and Problem Operations. Initiate, coordinate, and/or participate in network operations with all enterprise mission partners. Maintain situational awareness and deconflict all network operations across the AFIN. Coordinate and track immediate support to resolve top priorities from the AFCYBER Operate Prioritization List. Brief the status of all OPREPs/SITREPs/MISREPs/AFCYBER Priorities/High Interest Items/outages/NDCIs/ASIs/PONDs and an overview of current 24-hr CTO missions and updates from the AFIN SOC. Conduct initial review of all Requests for Support (RFS). Participate in weekly Engineering RFS Board to discuss RFS statuses and maintain situational awareness of all requests.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities From PWS/SOW
- Provide support to resolve MAJCOM priorities
- Coordinate with 616 OC for AFCYBER priorities
- Track high interest items for AFIN operations
- Respond to RFIs from 688 CW leadership & external agencies
- Maintain knowledge of Change Request (CRQ) processes
- Coordinate & maintain situational awareness & deconflict all network operations with mission partners
- Direct troubleshooting of outages, degradations, & isolations
- Submit CCIRs to 688 CW leadership & 616 OC
- Troubleshoot network issues with established procedures
- Generate CTOs for assignment to all applicable 688 CW tactical units
- Conduct mission review of CTOs from all applicable 688 CW tactical units
- Execute initial triage/scoping of network assessments
- Coordinate with 688 CW/A2O for reports/tippers related to vulnerability management, DCO high interest items, and emerging cyber threats
- Maintain ability to identify threats and vulnerabilities using ARAD/Tanium toolset
- Identify solutions for complex network system issues
- Provide initial triage and scoping of network infrastructure during outage resolution
- Serve as liaison to 38th Engineering Squadron
- Coordinate engineering support for complex outages, OPREPs, & extended service degradations
- Coordinate requests for engineering support
- Complete administrative tasks as required
- Complete other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
Education & Experience
- Requires a bachelor's degree (or equivalent) +3 years of experience, or 6+ years of related experience
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must have excellent critical thinking skills
Certifications
- Required: IAT II – Security+, CySA+, GSEC, GICSP, SSCP, CND, CCNA-Security, or higher
- Desired: CASP, CySA+, GSEC, GCIH, CISM, or CISSP
Security Clearance
- Top Secret with SCI Eligibility
Other (Travel, Work Environment, Administrative Notes, etc.)
Shift - This is a 24/7/365 mission, and the ability to support Days, Swings, and Mids operations is required. If a schedule change is required to support operations, you will be provided with as much notice as the situation allows. All shifts are four 10-hour days with three days off. Extended hours/days may be required on occasion. Shifts used are:
o 1 = Sun-Wed Days 0600-1600
o 2 = Sun-Wed Swings 1400-2400
o 3 = Sun-Wed Mids 2100-0700
o 4 = Wed-Sat Days 0600-1600
o 5 = Wed-Sat Swings 1400-2400
o 6 = Wed-Sat Mids 2100-0700
